Hi, I am Nickolas Parra.

I'm based in Northern Illinois and have been a self-taught photographer for over 5 years. What began as a hobby has evolved into a significant aspect of my life.

My photographic journey commenced in Normal, IL, where I earned my Bachelor's in Biology. During my time at my alma mater, I honed my skills in social media, graphic design, and photography. Presently, I serve as the Photo & Media Specialist for the Big Red Marching Machine, seamlessly merging my passion for photography with my love for music and performance.

Being a transfer student in 2018, I played a pivotal role in creating content for Illinois State University's largest student organization. When I'm not immersed in the world of marching bands, I work as a freelance photographer for Illinois State Redbird Athletics, capturing moments during media days, on-the-road games, and producing content for student-athletes.

But that's not all—I'm currently in my third year as the Team Photographer for DePaul Club Hockey. It's truly exhilarating to freeze those intense and exciting moments on the ice, showcasing the thrill of the game.
